Tourist Visa at Airport

 
 

At the Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports in Tehran, and also the airports at Mashad, Shiraz, Tabriz and Esfahan,  issues tourist visas for 14 days stay (not more)  in Iran for holders of ordinary passports from the states below:

 Albania, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan Venezuela, Vietnam.

 In order to expedite the visa procedure involved at the said airports, travel offices and agencies may contact the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 24 hours prior to arrival in order to enable the authorization concerned to be communicated to the branch office of that airport.

 Conditions

The facilities stated above apply only to tourists and are not applicable to the following persons:

1 – Holders of Diplomatic and Service Passports, unless their visa applications have been previously forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and following the necessary procedure the authorization has been obtained and communicated to the branch office at the airport of arrival.

2 – Foreign journalists and reporters cannot make use of the above-mentioned facilities for entering the country in order to engage in news-service and reports. Persons acting in contravention of these conditions will be expelled from the country.

3 – Persons whose earlier visa applications have been rejected.

4 – Iranian nationals holding foreign passports or similar documents and who have not officially renounced their Iranian citizenship (lacking certificate showing release of Iranian citizenship) .
